ROOTS SHAKEDOWN IS FLORIDA REGGAE-ROCK
Forged under the sun in Palm Beach County, FL, Roots Shakedown is a tropical blend of rhythm and melody beyond your usual definition. The band’s roots can be found on the beach, but the diverse nature of their influences has created space for the five-piece to not only thrive, but carve a niche. Combined with their unwavering pursuit to spread a positive message to the masses, the result is a reggae-rock fusion that is too catchy for its own good.
Inspired by their heroes as well as the culture in which they live, Roots Shakedown has dedicated more than 15 years to their craft. The band has captured listeners at an international level, worked with Grammy-winning producers, and shared the stage with some of the genre’s biggest names such as Steel Pulse, Inner Circle, Tribal seeds, Katchafire and many more.
Roots Shakedown is releasing a new 80’s style digital EP on november 28, 2025. the tracks were built using the famous casiotone mt-40 for the drums, bass and skank. stay tuned!
